Born and brought up in the Borders of Scotland, having now spent most of my time living south of the border, spent the last 26 years living in Durham. I have worked mainly in the manufacturing environment, food production and packaging as a sales representative and sales manager. These where large Anglo/American companies with major brands in the UK supermarkets.

I worked for a time with a very small business based in County Durham producing and selling educational software, following this I set up my own business operating as a distributor of educational products in the Northeast region for many production companies.

In the last 9 years I have worked within the Economic Development Agency environment working as a business adviser and trainer. This work can be very rewarding as you watch business evolve and grow, with the knowledge network, we have access to a great deal of information that can assist businesses achieve their goals.

It’s simply nice to be able to put something back and to help local businesses meet the challenges of modern times in the trading world.
