Alan Fentiman runs a video production company based in Teesdale which provides bespoke video for the web, events and presentations.

After working in London for 6 years in the industry (his clients included the BBC, Channel 4, Tate Modern and The F.A) he decided to set up his own business. He has been assisted by Douglas Palarm, Start Up Advisor at the Enterprise Agency who helped him secure funding through the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE).

Since then, Alan has been busy working with local organisations including video content for our own website and The Barnard Castle Vision. The web has changed dramatically in the last five years and with the advent of YouTube and the BBC's iPlayer, users now expect websites to offer high quality video content. This has meant an increased demand for Alan’s service as Businesses embrace web video and take advantage of the many benefits it offers beyond traditional advertising methods.

Recently, Alan has also branched out into working alongside 2 other local film makers to encourage local children to get involved in film making so there could be a future Steven Spielberg in the making!
