Dr Baliga's Surgery

Dr Baliga's Surgery based in Shildon recruited apprentice Sarah Patrick with the help of funding from the apprenticeship scheme.

The funding has benefitted me because it has given me the chance to train in an industry where it would be nearly impossible to secure a job with little experience. It has given me the opportunity to focus on what industry I would to have a career in.

I have benefitted from this apprenticeship by gaining new skills in working in an office environment. I have also learnt how to work with the public – Sarah Patrick

The funding has enabled the practice to employ Sarah and help her gain the skills to work in a GP surgery setting, work with unwell patients and help meet their needs – Janet Stephenson
