Wear Valley Business Incentive Grant

This incentive scheme is designed to meet the needs of growing businesses and start-ups who can provide job opportunities to the target groups.

Eligible Businesses must be in the private sector and must be:

• A manufacturing business

• A service business

• A tourism business

All of these sectors must receive 50% of there annual income from customers based outside County Durham.

This discretionary scheme includes ICT, Marketing and Capital Investment with an intervention of 50% up to a maximum of £15000 limited to £1750 per job created.

The scheme is focused upon areas of need called Super Output Areas (SOS’s) the scheme will consider businesses seeking to relocate into these specific Wear Valley areas.
