Flexible Funding

The fund is open to anyone aged 18 or over, legally resident in the North East of England, who has identified a barrier/barriers to working for themselves and has found a solution which can be achieved by using the funds available under this scheme.

All applications to the Fund must have the support of an intermediary organisation in order to demonstrate a clear need for the funding which would lead to enterprise activities.

The Fund aims to be flexible on what costs it might help people with. Each application will be considered on its merits. While the funding cannot be used to pay for capital items (such as mobile telephones and laptop computers), it can be used to fund expenditure such as training, travel and childcare.

Successful applicants should normally hold a bank account in their name into which any funding agreed can be paid.
