New county tourism website launched

This is Durham

The new official tourism website for our county, www.thisisdurham.com went live today. The fresh and exciting website replaces www.visitcountydurham.com and carries the new place branding ‘this is Durham’, including a unified style, imagery, font and tone of voice. The website will be the first port of call for consumers interested in visiting the county and will sell Durham with a united and compelling picture of our visitor offer.

The site has powerful new functions, including a dynamic interactive map of the county and its must-see attractions, easy to sign up consumer e-newsletters, prominent positioning of news and key events on the homepage, and a series of guides for market towns and Durham’s city, coast, vale and dales. All traffic into visitcountydurham.com will also be redirected to www.thisisdurham.com ensuring that Durham retains its high ranking and visibility on all the major search engines.
