Local media business receives major award
Local business Teeny Tiny Films recently won the prestigious Royal Television Society award for Best Factual Programme - Non Broadcast at The Sage, Gateshead for a documentary "Teesdale Hill Farming Story" which looks at hill farming throughout the years and how it affects the lives of people living in Teesdale.
Sam Forsyth, who runs Teeny Tiny Films, worked with pupils at Cotherstone School for four weeks to produce this 30 minute film and said "It's all been very much a team thing - all filmmaking is team work. It's as much their award as mine"
Sam Forsyth attended the awards ceremony with Alan Fentiman who was also involved in this project, as were Sara Cox and Oliver Smith, and they were both completely surprised when it was announced that they had beaten the other 17 contenders.
Copies of the film can be bought from Cotherstone School.
