Wear Valley Workspace Investment Scheme

This is a discretionary grant scheme within selected areas of Wear Valley.

The purpose of the scheme is to create jobs through the creation of workspace fit for purpose for new and expanding businesses.

The scheme will support:

• The conversion of redundant buildings

• The substantial refurbishment of existing premises

• The new build of commercial premises

This discretionary scheme may offer a grant to a maximum of 40% intervention up to maximum of £62500 subject to the level of potential jobs created and the type of accommodation provided.

The scheme is focused upon areas of need called Super Output Areas (SOS’s) the scheme will consider businesses seeking to develop and inward invest into these specific Wear Valley areas.
