HR Adviser Business Adviser

Originally from Bradford, West Yorkshire; I moved to Darlington in 1982 (somebody had to bring some culture into the area). My work experience has been in the Human Resources and Training fields mainly within the manufacturing and retail sectors. I joined the Agency in August 2003 as a Start-up Business Advisor to provide practical assistance, guidance and training; helping potential entrepreneurs to realise their dreams.

As HR Advisor, I also work with existing businesses as they grow, providing guidance on employment legislation, contracts of employment, health and safety and other employment related matters.

I am an armchair follower of most sports, played football to semi-professional standard (for Bradford City which was a great honour). I am now a passionate golfer and a member of the local Barnard Castle Golf Club.

Oh, nearly forgot, I have a loving wife and two super daughters - all of whom I am extremely proud!
