Anne-Marie Beasley
Business Adviser
Born in County Durham I can truly call myself a ‘Bonnie pit lassie’ (please reserve comments on the ‘Bonnie’). My parents, through work commitments moved to Sierra Leone when I was three years old and returned to the UK five years later.
At the end of the swinging sixties I had finished my formal education and I then went on to study Fine Art at Cleveland College of Art. A very ‘groovy’ place to be at the time.
My career has been spent within the ‘people industry’ I have had a wide range of employed positions including being a youth worker, art and craft tutor, training manager and business adviser. Four years ago I gave up my position of Operations Manager at Darlington Business Venture to become self-employed. I had talked the talk and told enough people how to become self employed and I thought it was about time that I walked the walk and started my own business. I still work on a part time basis with my business, Rosebud Training and Consultancy.
I had worked with Shaun and the team at Teesdale Enterprise Agency for the last three years and I was very happy when I was offered a part time position as an account manager. Teesdale has a wonderful magic about it that seems to imbibe the community with a sense of contentment and enthusiasm, who could resist a chance to work here for a few hours per week?
Ten years ago I met the love of my life, Phil; we have been married for four of those years. We share our home at Stockton with Lucy the cute but manically obsessive Jack Russell Terrier, Toby the paranoid Siamese cat and George and Suzie the playful but extremely furry Persian cats. Favourite things – holidaying in the Greek Islands, cooking and entertaining, painting, gardening and watching Big Brother (only kidding)
Life time ambition – to make a positive difference to the world and to be happy.
