Award Success for local business

Thursday 9th November 2017

Julie Warters from Time for Media Ltd has recently been awarded the 2017 SME News North East Award for Excellence in Social Media Awareness.

"I received an email out of the blue stating Time For Media Limited had been nominated for an award for the work that we do with Social Media, and would we like to accept the nomination. We then had to complete a load of information about what we do, the sorts of work we are involved in and customers we have. We have been pushing a lot on social media awareness for children and parents, and recently also did some work with Newcastle University and Northumberland Police on cyber security. We're also looking to design workshops for schools and have a safe and secure group on Facebookfor parents to ask any questions about their children's social media usage. A few weeks ago we were informed that we had won the category!"

Julie is understandably over the moon about the well deseved win it has increased her business profile and boosted her self confidence and determination in what she is doind. Many businesses don't enter business awards as they are either too busy or think that they are too small to win. However, taking part in local, regional or even national awards can be a great boost to your business profile and a chance to have your hard work recognised.

So would Julie put her business forward to further awards? "Most certainly" she said, " You have to be in it to win in!"
